“There is no passion to be found in playing small, in settling for a life that is less than one you are capable of living.” -Nelson Mandela

I wholeheartedly believe CrossFit is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. It doesn’t matter who you are, nor your current state of health. I am so sure of this statement that I am going all in. I am stepping out of coaching collegiate basketball and jumping into helping people get healthy and fit.

I found CrossFit in the summer of 2013, just days after graduating college and a few weeks since playing in my last collegiate basketball game. It was the first time in my life I didn’t have an outlet for my competitive spirit and CrossFit immediately filled that void. Back then, I treated CrossFit like basketball practice. Show up, leave everything that’s going on in your life at the door, put your head down, and get to work. But, over the course of the last five years I’ve realized that CrossFit is about so much more than working hard for one hour of your day. CrossFit has taught me to be more disciplined in all areas of life and it has awoken my passion to want to share its greatness with anyone who wants to become the best version of themselves.

Coaching CrossFit is my true passion and my way to impact the world. I am so excited to be waking up every day to help people live longer, happier, healthier lives. I will be saving people from premature death and sedentary life. I will be enabling parents to lead an active role in their children’s lives, ensuring grandparents get to play outside with their grandchildren, and equipping great-grandparents to dance at their great-grandchildren’s weddings (no dance lessons included). Now that is meaningful and fulfilling. That is true and lasting happiness. And this, is my dream opportunity.

I now define W’s as getting people off the couch and off the processed carbs, fighting against chronic disease, and beating the statistic that says we will be the first generation to outlive our children. Rob and Emily, I am beyond grateful for your belief and trust in me. All members of Signum, I cannot wait to join you on your journey towards becoming your best self.
